由于防突環主要承受載荷，而MS密封膠膠筒部分主要負責密封，因此梭鏢是否能承受高壓除了MS密封膠膠筒橡膠部分外還取決于防突環。優化后防突環可以承受更高的載荷，因此文中進一步探究了在加壓60 MPa的情況下中間MS密封膠膠筒長度對MS密封膠膠筒密封性能的影響。

MS密封膠膠筒是該滑套的重要部件，坐封過程中先對梭鏢打壓，壓縮MS密封膠膠筒，通過MS密封膠膠筒壓縮膨脹與套管之間形成密封。MS密封膠中膠筒的長度決定密封件的接觸長度和接觸面積，接觸面積越大，密封效果越好。MS密封膠膠筒長度增加，密封區域增加，但MS密封膠膠筒長度也不宜過長。MS密封膠膠筒過長容易失穩，并且壓縮過程中容易造成應力集中，從而影響密封。而MS密封膠中膠筒過短也可能造成密封失效，MS密封膠膠筒變形嚴重。因此，MS密封膠膠筒長度對于梭鏢密封情況有極大的影響，文中在加載60 MPa時分別對MS密封膠中膠筒長度L為110,115,120,125,130,135 mm進行對比分析，結果如圖所示。

圖表示軸向的接觸壓力沿路徑的變化情況，在軸向距離為30 mm時軸向接觸壓力達到最大。圖表示不同中間MS密封膠膠筒長度下圖中接觸應力最大處MS密封膠膠筒的圓周接觸應力變化，可以看出隨著MS密封膠膠筒長度的增加，最小密封壓力和最大接觸應力都是呈先減小再增大又減小的趨勢，最小密封壓力在125mm時達到最大值為75 MPa。

圖表示不同中間MS密封膠膠筒長度下MS密封膠膠筒的壓縮距離，可知中間MS密封膠膠筒越長，MS密封膠膠筒的軸向壓縮距離越大。因為在橡膠長度增加的情況下，中間環空體積未變，因此橡膠填滿中間環空體積后位移相應地增加。點E為軸向壓縮距離由急變緩的轉折點，說明在點E時MS密封膠膠筒與套管開始接觸;點F之后軸向壓縮距離又呈線性變化，說明MS密封膠膠筒和套管已經完全接觸，因此軸向壓縮距離不會有太大的變化。http://www.www.sunsage.net/
